June was a busy month for us. We hosted three events within eight days of each other. Each one wildly different from the other. It started on June 15nd, with Catch 22. This was a book release and anniversary show for Hotrod Tattooing, who has been open for 22 years. The art for the book was created by the artists of the shop themselves, mainly by passing unfinished works to each other to complete. The following Wednesday we hosted the Travelin’ Appalachian Revue. They are a collective of artists, poets, storytellers, and songwriters. They performed to a packed house during a crazy thunderstorm. Finally, on Friday the 21st, we hosted the First Offense Comedy Showcase. The weather was much more forgiving that evening and the comedians performed on the back patio. Overall it was a packed week. Personally, I’ve been real busy as well and just haven’t had the time to sit down and summarize our last few events  The events may not be that fresh in my head, but whirlwind of that week isn’t forgotten. Clean up, setup, show, tear down, clean up, setup, show, tear down, clean up, setup, and show. If it was all on my own, I would not have been able to juggle it with my day job. Thankfully, I had a lot of help from the organizers of each event. Their help really pushed and allowed for the success of these shows. When the stars aligned and these three different opportunities popped up, I knew it would be a struggle to pull them off, but wanted to showcase Clientele’s ability to hold a wide array of events. The gallery/project space of Clientele was designed to be as versatile as possible. I want it to hold a wide variety of shows and be a hub for Wheeling’s complete art scene.
