What to Expect in June

I am very excited for our shows in June. Not only because of how interesting each one will be, but because each one is wildly different from each other. It really shows off what can happen at Clientele. The stars aligned to allow these all to fall in June, as I have been very hesitant to overly book the venue until all the renovations have been completed. With that said, these events were too good to pass up. Here is a quick rundown of the events:

  • Catch-22: Hotrod Tattooing has been a huge supporter of Clientele from the beginning. I can honestly say without the help of Sweet Chuck, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Catch-22 is not only a celebration of Hot Rod Tattooing’s 22nd anniversary, it is also the book release party for their new book! This will showcase the artwork of several artists who have worked at Hot Rod’s! This also coincides with the Friendly City Handmade Summer Art Show. It will be a great way to end the night!
  • Tavelin’ Appalachians Revue 2019: If you have not had to chance to ever see this show, you are in for something awesome! I first saw this the last time they came through Wheeling and when Clientele was forming, they were on the shortlist of shows to have. The Revue is a showcase of great storytellers, poets, and songwriters. Locally, our own Alec Berry, Sarah Clark, Danny Padden, Gabby Marshall, and Steven Moore will be performing. I had a chance to see their show recently in Thomas, WV and it was amazing. William Matheny will be performing, and if you don’t know who that is, you have been sleeping on West Virginia’s music scene. Also performing is Sophia Rehak and Hannah Pence who put on an amazing show in Thomas. Kevin Chesser will be reading some of his works and I thoroughly enjoyed what he read in Thomas as well.
  • First Offense Comedy Showcase: This event kind of fell into my lap and I couldn’t be happier it did. It was setup by Paige Creamer and will feature some awesome comedians…and myself. We will have comedians coming in from Pittsburgh, Canton, and Indiana to complement our own local talent.
