Clientele to Compete in Show of Hands

Last week it was announced that we would be participating in Wheeling Heritage’s Show of Hands event this month. This is something we are incredibly excited about! Having the ability to explain the studio and what it is capable of is itself rewarding, but the chance to win a couple thousand dollars is amazing. We wanted take some time and explain the event and our presentation, in case you have not heard of Show of Hands or were unsure about its setup.

SHOW OF HANDS EXPLAINED

Contestants apply to enter Show of Hands, and four are picked to compete. At the event, each contestant gets four minutes to present their business and project. Each contestant will also field up to four questions regarding the business or project. After all the contestants have presented, the audience will vote on the best. The winner will receive the money raised at the door as well as donated funds, which usually exceed three or four thousand dollars.

CLIENTELE’S PROJECT

Have you seen the front of our building? It needs some love. Not only that, but it does not allow those in a wheelchair a way into the building. Our project will be to replace the current stoop with a deck and ADA ramp. The benefit of the ramp is obvious, but having more space out front will also be greatly beneficial. The current space is all but unusable now, but with a deck area, we will be able to hold more people during a summer event and expand our overall footprint. Overall, these improvements will also make the studio more inviting compared to its current facade and stoop.

Event: Show of Hands
