Summary:

This event was absolutely amazing from start to finish, and the majority of praise for that goes to Chad Fullerton, Tony Provenzano, and Steven Kline. They approached me at Clientele’s October show with this idea and I was on board immediately. If you weren’t able to make it, here’s a quick rundown: The idea for the show was hold an event that showcased local artists while raising money for The Greater Wheeling Coalition for the Homeless. Thirteen artists were invited to paint blank skateboard decks, which were donated by several local businesses. All the boards were auctioned off and at the end of the night we raised over $3000! It’s hard to say how many people walked through the door for the event, but the place was packed from the get go. For our second show, I was completely blown away by the support and enthusiasm this city has shown us. This show exemplified everything I want this place to be; a place for Wheeling’s less known art scene to have a place to showcase their talent. The show was created by, organized by, and supported by Wheeling artists. They just needed a place, and hopefully we can continue to fill that void.

  • Stealth One DJ’d the event once again, and did not disappoint.
  • Danny Padden was the resident auctioneer, prodding the large crowd into outbidding each other continuously with “You are going to let this guy wins? He drives a hybrid!!!” and “You guys are really going let this girl from Steubenville outbid you?!?!”
  • Miranda Alley Photography helped us out big time by shooting the event. We are now able to diversify the pictures on our website.
